Series.str.decode(self, encoding, errors='strict') [source]

Decode character string in the Series/Index using indicated encoding. Equivalent to str.decode() in python2 and bytes.decode() in python3.

Parameters:	encoding : str errors : str, optional
Returns:	Series or Index
